Catia is a proven corporate counsel having a multi-disciplinary approach and an advocate admitted to practice in Portugal, where she gained extensive experience in representing clients in civil and criminal matters and maintained a parallel pro bono work including assisting non-profit entities and individuals in criminal and consumer protection matters. She was also a co-founder, board member and legal advisor to a non-profit association devoted to environmental protection. 

Catia received a law degree from the International University in Portugal and is specialized in international financial crime. She has a diploma in anti-money laundering and financing of terrorism by the University of Manchester and completed studies in intellectual property law and financial market regulations in the London School of Economics and Political Science. 

Since joining Fincoord as a legal counsel in 2012, she has been involved in cross border transactions, financing, intellectual property, corporate and M&A matters, advising on transactions, drafting and reviewing agreements and corporate documentation, due diligence processes, preparing sale and purchase agreements and any ancillary documents and contract management.

Catia is fluent in Portuguese and English and proficient in French and German.
